Birch Gold Group Fee Waiver (2026): First Year Paid Over $50,000

By Mark Sandulli · Founder & editor · Updated October 21, 2026 · Not financial advice

Short answer: Birch Gold Group says it pays the first year’s fees on transfers over $50,000. Birch’s first-year fees total $315, so that’s the most the offer is worth. Birch is our #1 Gold IRA company (8.2), with a $5,000 minimum and fees posted on its website.

What the offer covers

FeeNormal cost
Setup$50 once
Wire$30 once
Storage and insurance$110 a year
Management$125 a year
First year total$315
Each year after$235

Birch says the first year’s fees are paid on transfers over $50,000. Ask whether that includes the one-time setup and wire fees; if it covers only the yearly fees, it’s worth $235.

Who qualifies

Transfers over $50,000. At exactly $50,000 you may not qualify, so ask. Below that, Birch still accepts accounts from $5,000 at its normal fees. Don’t move more than you planned just to qualify: the offer is worth $315 at most.

Questions to ask Birch

  1. Does the offer cover setup and wire, or only the yearly fees?
  2. Does it depend on which coins or bars I buy?
  3. What is the price over spot on those metals, in writing?
  4. How would you price my metal if I sell it back?

The catch

The offer is worth $315 once. On a $100,000 purchase, one extra point of markup costs $1,000. Compare written prices before you sign. We don’t count promotions in our scores.
